What you will do:
The Human Resources Manager provides leadership and direction across the full spectrum of HR functions including recruitment and retention, employee relations and risk mitigation, unemployment compensation, performance management, HR systems, and organizational development. This role manages HR staff, serves as a key advisor to leadership, and ensures that HR policies and practices align with DVCH’s mission, culture, and compliance requirements.

Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; master's degree preferred. 
  • Minimum of 5–7 years of HR experience required; supervisory or management experience preferred. 
  • Healthcare or nonprofit setting HR experience strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with HR systems (e.g., Paylocity, ADP, UKG) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • SHRM-CP/SCP or PHR certification preferred.
  • Spanish language skills preferred.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Demonstrated strong leadership, coaching, and supervisory skills.
  • Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to balance strategic initiatives with day-to-day HR operations.
  • Proficiency in HRIS platforms (Paylocity preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Capacity to see the big picture while guiding the employee experience with fairness and compassion.
