Retirement and Savings Plan:

401(k) and ROTH 401(k)

One of the benefits provided to you by Delaware Valley Community Health, Inc. (DVCH) is a 401(k) Plan to help you save for retirement. There are two types of contributions you can make to the Plan. Roth contributions are made with after-tax dollars while regular 401(k) contributions are made with pre-tax dollars. When you retire, distributions from your Roth account may be tax-free. For 2024, you can contribute as much as $23,000 into the 401(k) plan, $30,500 if you are over 50 years old. This is a combined limit between Roth and Regular 401(k) contributions.

DVCH offers several forms of company contributions on your behalf starting the first day of the Plan quarter after you turn age 21 AND you complete 1,000 hours of service in a 12-month period. The company contributions are the following:

  • Employer Matching - Up to 2.5%
  • Profit Sharing - 1%
  • Safe Harbor - 3%

To receive all available DVCH company contributions after you have met the criteria listed above, you will need to contribute at least 2.5% of your pay to the Plan. Contributing less than 2.5% of your compensation means that DVCH will only match up to your specific contribution percentage, essentially leaving 'money on the table.'
