About Delaware Valley Community Health

Our Story

Delaware Valley Community Health (DVCH) was established in 1969 to provide accessible healthcare in Philadelphia. Initially, it focused on serving uninsured or underinsured Hispanic and Latino patients. Over time, DVCH expanded its services and received federal funding in 1980, enabling the establishment of multiple community health facilities. To better serve Spanish-speaking communities, DVCH prioritized bilingual healthcare services. In 1999, the organization officially became Delaware Valley Community Health, Inc., as it expanded beyond Philadelphia into Montgomery Counties.

Today, DVCH is the largest non-profit healthcare provider in the region, offering primary medical care and various specialties in eight full-service facilities. DVCH remains committed to its mission of providing quality healthcare to underserved communities.

Experience how one of Delaware Valley Community Health's centers (Maria de Los Santos Health Center) has been at the heart of our mission - to serve the underserved communities of Greater Philadelphia.

Diverse Perspectives for Stronger Leadership

The distinct racial and gender diversity on the DVCH Executive Team, otherwise known as our Senior Cabinet and our Board of Directors, is unique in that our leadership mirrors the communities that we serve.
