About Delaware Valley Community Health
Our Story
Delaware Valley Community Health (DVCH) was established in 1969 to provide accessible healthcare in Philadelphia. Initially, it focused on serving uninsured or underinsured Hispanic and Latino patients. Over time, DVCH expanded its services and received federal funding in 1980, enabling the establishment of multiple community health facilities. To better serve Spanish-speaking communities, DVCH prioritized bilingual healthcare services. In 1999, the organization officially became Delaware Valley Community Health, Inc., as it expanded beyond Philadelphia into Montgomery Counties.
Today, DVCH is the largest non-profit healthcare provider in the region, offering primary medical care and various specialties in eight full-service facilities. DVCH remains committed to its mission of providing quality healthcare to underserved communities.

Employee Success Stories
Ivelisse Colon
Ivy first joined DVCH in November 2006 as a medical assistant. For the past 16+ years, Ivy has advanced across the organization in roles requiring more responsibilities.
We give our people every opportunity to succeed. Ivy took advantage of DVCH’s professional growth and development programs while utilizing Employee Tuition Reimbursement to her benefit. After successfully earning her bachelor's degree, Ivelisse passed her nursing boards and is now officially serving the DVCH community in her capacity as an RN.
