What you will do:

The Pre-Authorization Assistant manages and submits medication prior authorizations across all clinical sites to ensure timely approvals and support patient access. The role includes dispensing medications, collecting co-pays, coordinating referral scheduling, and arranging billable pharmacist visits. This position works closely with pharmacy and care coordination teams to streamline workflows and reduce administrative burden. It also supports claim adjudication, interacts with secondary payers, and helps develop system-wide policies for medication access and authorization processes. This role supports key goals in community health, quality, financial performance, and provider well-being.

Requirements


POSITION PURPOSE:  The Pre-Authorization Assistant is responsible for streamlining the medication prior authorization (PA) process across all sites, ensuring timely and accurate authorization to improve patient care, provider well-being, and optimize revenue opportunities including increased 340B capture. The role supports strategic goals in Community, Finance, Quality, and People by improving the efficiency of interdisciplinary workflows and enhancing the patient experience.

Requirements


  • High school or equivalent (Required)
  • Bilingual in Spanish/English (Preferred)
  • Pharmacy Certification (Preferred)
  • Pharmacy Experience- (Preferred)
  • PA knowledge (Preferred)
