What you will do:
 

As a Medical Assistant at DVCH, you’ll play a vital role in creating a positive, efficient, and respectful patient experience. This position includes both clinical and administrative responsibilities, giving you the opportunity to work hands-on with patients while supporting critical operations. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Greeting and checking in/out patients with professionalism and empathy
  • Scheduling appointments and handling a high volume of calls
  • Assisting providers during clinical procedures
  • Performing phlebotomy and collecting vital signs
  • Supporting providers, team leaders, and the health center manager with various medical assistant duties
  • Ensuring patients feel seen, heard, and cared for at every stage of their visit

Requirements


  • High School Diploma or GED REQUIRED
  • Completion from an accredited Medical Assistant Program REQUIRED
  • CPR and BLS Certification PREFERRED
  • Experience in a medical office setting PREFERRED
  • Bilingual in Spanish PREFERRED
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of care team and other colleagues
  • A positive attitude
  • Remain in accordance with HIPAA
  • Ability to use good reasoning and judgment
