What you will do:
We are seeking a dynamic Communications Specialist to implement the organization's strategic communications plan, enhance both internal and external messaging and support business development. The successful candidate will act as the primary point of contact for internal communications. Under the direction of the Chief of Staff, assist the senior staff in the development of content, management, and publication for a range of communication tools and projects ensuring consistent messaging and successful promotion of the organization's goals and mission.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develops and prepares updates to organizational printed materials and website in conjunction with senior staff and other appropriate staff members.
- Monitors and ensures that all communication vehicles have a unified brand identity, consistent messaging, and meets production quality standards.
- Provides content for and manages social media accounts for the organization.
- Works with consultants, graphic designers, web designers, and/or photographers as needed to develop and maintain materials, and to develop and implement specific projects or campaigns that require outside expertise.
- Assists with grant writing as needed.
- Measures and analyses effectiveness of communications program.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree is required.
- Experience in Communications, Journalism or related field or an equivalent combination of experience and education preferred.
- Prior experience in a non-profit or healthcare-related environment is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to write and edit for a publication and communications for messaging and marketing.
- Ability to take initiative, work independently and complete assignments in a timely manner.
- Demonstrated expertise with Internet research and social media.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and project management skills required.
- Spanish Language fluency is preferred.
