Description

The Organizational Development Specialist II is an integral member of the Learning & Development team. Utilizing a systems-thinking framework, this position supports key talent development strategies for sustaining a high-performance organization in alignment with DVCH's mission, values, culture, and strategic priorities.  

This position, under the supervision of the Director of Learning & Development, facilitates organizational initiatives across DVCH that enhance our human resource capacity, demonstrates strategic thinking to increase efficiency, identifies and develops best practice standards, provides ongoing assessment and diagnostics that uncover trends, insights, organizational issues/needs, and then designs and delivers learning solutions for improving organizational performance. 

Essential functions include consultation, needs assessment, instructional design, development and evaluation of educational programs, training delivery and facilitation, and assistance with executing corporate learning initiatives. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conducts needs assessments for programs and departments to identify issues and challenges.
  • Create and implement interventions and learning solutions that connect employees with organizational strategic goals 
  • Facilitate small and large groups trainings for system transitions, transformations, and organizational restructuring.
  • Demonstrate the ability to design, develop, implement, deliver, and evaluate high-quality, impactful training and learning solutions using instructional design methodologies in both the ILT and vILT environments.
  • Support, develop and facilitate onboarding, assessment, and development programs.
  • Utilize the Learning Management System to implement and deliver learning and training solutions.
  • Conduct surveys, interviews and focus groups to determine
  • Measure effectiveness and ROI of training and learning solutions through evaluation and analysis of tests/quizzes, surveys, focus groups, interviews, performance outcomes, relevant data, reports, and documentation; make value-added recommendations and changes based on evaluation findings. 
  • Other duties as identified and assigned. 

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required. 
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferred in Organizational Development, Human Resources, Business, or other related field.
  • Minimum of three years demonstrating experience within the organizational development field and/or L&D space. Included but not limited to experience in and/or knowledge of the field of human services, organizational systems and adult learning theories and principles. 
  • Prior experience in L&D or OD in Healthcare is a plus. 
  • Demonstrated ability to design, develop, implement, deliver, and evaluate high-quality, impactful training and learning solutions using instructional design methodologies in both the ILT and vILT environments. 
  • Certified Everything DiSC® trainer is a plus.
  • Fluency in Spanish is a plus, but not required. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including group facilitation and presentation skills. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills, professional self-awareness, and emotional intelligence. 
  • Highly technology-literate; ability to quickly learn new systems and tools.
  • Intermediate skill level in computer usage in various applications (MS Office applications, Internet, and Intranet).
  • Familiarity with Articulate Storyline 360 and Rise 360 is a plus.
  • Experience with LMS management is a plus.
